Falling in Love with the Moth Faerie Prince: A Sweet Romantic Comedy by Camilla Evergreen: Review & Themes ★★★★

Falling in Love with the Moth Faerie Prince: A Sweet Romantic Comedy by Camilla Evergreen After your sister finds her soulmate in a chihuahua shifter, and she spends her days curled up as a fluffy Pomeranian, you wonder if everything will be fixed if you go into her new world. When you hit the prince of your sister's new home, a moth faerie prince—with your pink car—you begin to believe that this might be the opportunity for your harrowing thoughts to stop.  Artistry and Craft Falling in Love with the Moth Faerie Prince may just be my favourite book in the (PARA)NORMAL series so. Firstly, I feel like in this novel, more than the other two, the author truly humanizes the fae, which is a feat considering the beautiful job she did with the other books. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald: Book Review & Themes ★★★★★

Book Review: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Hello, and welcome to my first book review! I'm so glad you're here. A quick note: all of my reviews will include two separate star ratings, one for Artistry (the writing, structure, and craft) and one for Message (the meaning, theme, or moral content). Let’s dive in!

The Craft & Artistry

The Great Gatsby was an excellent book, and I highly recommend it. Not only was the writing exquisite, with enough “purple prose” to satisfy someone with bibliophile tendencies like myself, but it was also full of beautiful lines that were deeply moving and resonant (★★★★★).

The Messages and Themes

The message of The Great Gatsby was also profoundly valuable. Through such a seemingly depressing story of ambition and downfall, there is a valuable spiritual lesson revealed, so I completely understand why it's considered to be recommended reading for high schoolers in Canada (★★★★★).

Final Thoughts

I am ecstatic to say that it is one of my favourite books, and I know for many years to come I will take pleasure in re-reading it. My overall rating is five stars!

Content Disclaimers: This book contains references to alcohol abuse, violence, minimal vulgar language, murder, and sexual themes/references (adultery). None of these is described in explicit detail. I believe the content is appropriate for young adults and older teenagers with the guidance of a teacher or parent, as the mature themes serve to illustrate the consequences of a life lived without moral grounding. The book also serves to give much guidance and value in opening up the conversation and getting the reader to think of what the “good life” truly is and what it might look like.

That’s all folks! If you’ve read The Great Gatsby, I’d love to hear your thoughts below. Feel free to share what you thought about The Great Gatsby in the comments. ❤❤❤
