Falling in Love with the Moth Faerie Prince: A Sweet Romantic Comedy by Camilla Evergreen: Review & Themes ★★★★

Falling in Love with the Moth Faerie Prince: A Sweet Romantic Comedy by Camilla Evergreen After your sister finds her soulmate in a chihuahua shifter, and she spends her days curled up as a fluffy Pomeranian, you wonder if everything will be fixed if you go into her new world. When you hit the prince of your sister's new home, a moth faerie prince—with your pink car—you begin to believe that this might be the opportunity for your harrowing thoughts to stop.  Artistry and Craft Falling in Love with the Moth Faerie Prince may just be my favourite book in the (PARA)NORMAL series so. Firstly, I feel like in this novel, more than the other two, the author truly humanizes the fae, which is a feat considering the beautiful job she did with the other books. The parts that I found to be an improvement in Falling in Love with My Chihuahua Shifter—like the meta-references or bringing real franchises in from the "real" world—I found to be even better i...

September Wrap-Up: Books, K-Dramas, and Films

Looking back on the 23rd year of my life, there has been a lot of change. I started my first-ever blog, finished high school online, got into university, made new friends, went to a gym outside of my home for the first time in 7 years, read over 87 books, rediscovered my love of tea, met with my favourite elementary school teacher, put my paintings in art galleries, and so much more. This was all accomplished despite my struggles with TBI and the life-changing effects I experience with it daily. All of this to say, all the glory to God; this wouldn't have happened without Him!

This month, besides celebrating my birthday, was also the start of school. Therefore, I thought that a post about books that are easy and fun to read would be appropriate. (I figure I am not the only one who feels overwhelmed sometimes). While celebrating my birthday, I decided to forgo an essay post for September to give myself a break as well as to give myself space to plan out some of the essays I am looking forward to posting. Just as a heads up, because I am doing school, I may post some of my essays that I have done for school if they include my interests or topics I think are important to know about.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my posts. I'm more thankful than ever for all your support and time as the year is starting to become increasingly busy. 🖤🖤🖤

Monthly Wrap-Up

Table of Contents

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen — 3 stars

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen is an interesting parody of Gothic novels. I, being relatively new to Gothic fiction, picked up Northanger Abbey not knowing what I was getting myself into, just excited to read my very first Jane Austen novel.

Northanger Abbey tells the story of an ordinary girl, if not painfully ordinary, going to Bath in order to be introduced to society. There, she runs across all sorts of individuals she’s never met before, such as manipulators who easily take advantage of situations, or seemingly noble gentlemen. .

This book is one that is relatable and nice for a rainy day. If you don't mind slow pacing and unexceptional elements that move a story along, this book may be comforting and relaxing, a classic that doesn't pretend humans are not human. Overall, I rate this book 3 out of 5 stars.

Hyde, Jekyll, and Me K-drama — 3.75 stars

“The more I try to be me, I find different versions of myself.”

When there are two of you, how do you make your other self go away?

You must not run away from your past. This drama was slightly horrifying, comforting, and cathartic for me as somebody who has had a messy past as well.

Overall, it was a enjoyable experience that I found to be far more introspective then I anticipated it to be. Over all I would rate it 3.75 out of 5 stars and would recommend this drama to those who prioritize story lines, character growth and relational growth over graphics.

Falling in Love with My Vampire Cat: A Sweet Romantic Comedy by Camilla Evergreen — 4 stars

So adopting a stray cat is a good thing, right? And saving said cat from abuse from children is a really good thing, right? To both questions, the obvious answer is yes, but for Willow the answer is undeniably yes, especially when she gets to call a cute being with toe beans baby names...Until she wakes up from a nightmare, that isn't really a nightmare, soaked in blood, being resuscitated by a man who strongly resembles that cat in question.

Overall, I highly recommend this book to those who want to read something romantic and extremely unproblematic. It's comedic aspects are similar to Welcome to the Fae Cafe by Jennifer Kropf, so if you like her books you might want to check out Camilla Evergreen's. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
